When trying to remove an installed program, the add/remove
programs interface fails with a dialogue box:

An unexpected error occurred
Wrong number of arguments or invalid property assignment
res://sp3res.dll/default.hta
Line:84

Any clues people, I don't dare load any other
software 'till I can resolve this, and I can't un-install
either.

Thanks

Hi

From the "Run" box try

regsvr32 %windir%\system32\appwiz.cpl

and
regsvr32 %windir%\system32\webvw.dll

and
regsvr32 %windir%\system32\mshtml.dll

You might try to reinstall IE, the article above also tells you how to do that.

See tip 6032 at http://www.jsiinc.com/reghack.htm as well

If this doesn't help, try to reinstall the OS service pack you already have
installed (or install a newer one if possible).

If the problem persists, you'll could do an in-place upgrade of the OS and see
if it helps:

None of the articles suggested has had any effect on the
original problem. We have done all that is recommended
with the exception of an inplace upgrade and no difference
to the original problem.

Any more suggestions/help out there??

Thanks

John
