Add or remove programs

When I now open the add or remove programs window the
window does contain any programs? This problem has only
just happened. Previously the window would be populated
with all the current programs. Can any one advise me how
to resolve this issue.
 
RE ADD/REMOVE.
It would appear you have lost a few system files, Try
running SFC if you have a disc, this should put it right.
