Those entries are held in the registry at:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall

On a similar note, how do you remove an that is listed in the System
Configuration Utility Startup Tab? The item is unchecked but is still there.
I searched the computer and the Registry with no luck. Thanks

You can remove it from the registry but it makes quiet complicated..

To make it simple download Your uninstaller from
www.pcsuninstaller.notlong.com . Its a portable tool just run it It will
open the your uninstaller console..There select the program you wanted to
remove and click on remove from the list..

That will remove the entry from the LIST..We are done restart the computer
and check for the problem
It should work

First off, it's usually a good idea to post your question in a new thread as
opposed to adding it to an existing thread. Odds are, more people will see your
question that way.

That said, you can download and run the script from this web site to remove the
disabled startup entries.

You can also do the same thing manually.
Go to Start -> Run and enter regedit.exe in the Open box.
Click OK.
In the Registry Editor, navigate to this registry key,

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shared Tools\MSConfig\startupfolder

In the right hand pane, right click any item you want to remove and select
Delete from the menu.
Do the same for this registry key,

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shared Tools\MSConfig\startupreg

Close the Registry Editor.

Good luck
