Hello dear members of the microsoft.public.word.docmanagement

Please I need help on the following.
How can I add a watermark background on a Microsoft Word 2000 print
layout template ?
In order that every new page of a document using this template will
dispaly the watermark background.

Many Thanks.

Unfortunately, Word 2000 does not have an actual watermark feature per se as
2002/3/7 versions do (though you can apply watermark properties to an image).
So, you'll have to do it manually in the Header or Footer.

Detailed instructions are avilable:

Hi,

I'm haven't used print layout templates, but the way I add watermarks
normally is to go into the header |View|Header and Footer| and add a Word Art
(eg DRAFT) in the middle of the page.

The watermark will appear on all pages that have that header - so if
header/footer is different for first pages in a section, it will need to be
added there too, and following any section breaks where the header/footer
isn't "same as previous", it will also need to be added again.

Hope this is relevent to your problem.
Cheers,

Glen
