Why won't my watermark print?

I can add a watermark to my Word documetns that I can see in the "print
layout" view, but the watermark is not visable in the "print preview" nor
does the watermark show up when the document is printed. I've tried every
possible setting I can think of with no luck including tools - options -
background printing.

Have you looked at Tools, Options, Print, Drawing Objects? That is
usually the culprit around here.

Have you tried taking the tick out of the tick out of the semitransparent box.
