I have a distribution list with about 50 email addresses in it. I'd like to
add it to our global address list at work but I dont know how. All help is
appreciated.

The Global Address list is generated from active mailboxes in Exchange. To
add a distribution list, you will need to contact your Exchange admin to see
if it is possible.

I am the Exchange Admin but the method provided by Microsoft isnt working.

I'd suggest that you post details about the method you used over in the microsoft.public.exchange.admin group, since this is not an Outlook issue.
