AD wallpaper

I am trying to get the wallpaper setup to work in Active Directory. I
enabled Active Desktop and setup a path to a share on a server for the .bmp
file. Users have read access on the .bmp file. I enabled Allow only
bitmapped wallpaper. I also enabled Prevent changing wallpaper. I waited
for ad replication and then did gpupdate /force on a sampling of computers.
The background did not change from the existing original Dell background. In
reading some of the questions, I had disabled icons. I re-enabled all of
those. But still no background! I'm really frustrated at this point. We
really lock down the desktops as we are a school system.

Sorry. I figured it out. Years ago I had enabled Classic shell in windows
explorer. This takes precedence over active desktop and in effect
de-activates it.
