AD Error.....

When I attempt to open AD, I get this popup: Naming
Information can not be located because: The logon attempt
failed." This "seems" to be the "fix" for it:
http://www.jsiinc.com/SUBM/tip6000/rh6038.htm. I have not
attempted it as of yet. First off will this work? what
exactally will thsi do? And how/why did this happen?

All you are doing in the link is resetting the default permissions. This is
the same info from article.

Well, that provved to do nothing but open the Automating
security configuration tasks help dialog box. Any other
suggestions? I'm assuming a reboot would not be the wises
thing to do right now...or maybe it will restore the
corrupt policy...hrmm. Awaiting further information (PLEASE)

If you got the Gui for security configuration then you have a typo in the
syntax of the secedit command

You are correct sir. I had a typo. After I ran the first
line command there were external errors. As well as after
the second command. here is the .log file is generated:
