Ad-Aware problem

Hi All,

I hope you can advise on this please.

I downloaded and installed Ad-Aware (free version), three days ago, it's
been a great success running in conjunction with Norton and Search and
Destroy. But today when i started to run a full scan, it only scans for
approx. one minute then completely shuts down my PC. I get a blue screen
stating unexpected error, then dead!!

I've uninstalled and re-installed directly from the website...no difference!

Any ideas would be greatful

Hi Mark,

Make sure that only one program is scanning at a time or working at a time. Two programs working at the same time, basically doing the same job, creates problems, if both start scanning the same file at the same time.

Make sure that only one program is scanning at a time or working at a time. Two programs working at the same time, basically doing the same job, creates problems, if both start scanning the same file at the same time.

It also sound like a conflict with another program/driver on your
computer. Also, try running an AV scan or SpyBot scan. Some malware
will actively shutdown or disable security software.
