Ad-Aware not updated for two weeks

I'm getting messages that my Ad-Aware data base is 16 days old. It's
not updating when I ask for an update. Is anyone else seeing this?
Is it just me?

The last update for Ad-Aware was released on January 7, 2008. Lavasoft
updates its definitions twice-monthly. One should expect the next one
around January 21st.

Adaware SE? I believe they stopped updating that as of the beginning
of the year. You should upgrade to the newer version, Adaware 2007.

I know I get updates once a week for Adware 2007. Just my observation.

WTF are you brining this up HERE? Ad Aware is not XP nor is it even a
Microsoft product.

There's a help forum on the lavasoft site for this software.

Your can update Ad-aware SE manually by downloading the update file on
Lavasoft's website. That's how I update my Ad-aware SE.

I get the same message that you do. Only now it says 17 days old and then
when requesting updates I am informed that my software is up to date.

That's fine. There are new definitions for the SE version, the most
recent being issued on January 7, 2008. The next release, Week 13,
of the definitions for SE is in beta testing.

All well and good, except that Ad-Aware SE (free) can no longer update from
within the application itself, according to Lavasoft. You'll have to
download updates for SE (free) and install manually.

Upgrade to Ad-Aware 2007 (free) to be able to update from within the
application.

Hi PA,

From my reading and understanding it appears that AdAware 2007 Free is
a "free" trial version only? Do you or anyone else know if that is the
case? I haven't tried this version so I don't know, and I'm too lazy to
try so I wonder if anyone can shed some light on this.
