ActiveX problems!

Hi,
Am hoping someone can help me figure this out. On most of the websites I
visit, a box comes up saying "Click to run an ActiveX control on this
webpage", I click the OK button then this box comes up "Internet explorer has
encountered a problem and needs to close". I can't even visit sites that
I've been to hundreds of times before. Can someone tell me what might be
wrong, or how I can fix this?
Thanks so much for your help, as right now my using the internet is
practically useless. Thanks!

Dear Eskgirl:

I am also getting the box stating "Click to run an ActiveX control on this
webpage", and then IE sets up an error report and shuts down, ONLY I get
this box on my OWN website: <http://www.voicenet.com/~trip>. I don't get it

Ah, another person whose IE crashes when an active x prompt appears. Not only
does that happen on certain websites I visit , but IE also randomly closes
during an online session from some kind of error. Not sure if it's internet
option settings. The defaults don't prove to remedy this.

Okay, now will someone help?

Thank You!

Thank you to the wonderful person who found that download site.
It worked for me after 24 hours of phone calls, etc with no help at
all. Thank you, thank you!!!! Can you tell me why it will be
disabled on June 11th and if we can download it again?
