Active Directory Installation Error

Hello,

while running DCPROMO(Active Directory installation wizard) the following
error occured just before the Active Directory dialog box was to appear:

Active Directory installation failed
The network location cannot be reached. For information about
network troubleshooting, see Windows help.

I have only one computer at home with NIC in it and windows 2k Advance
server installed. NIC is working properly. But Physically its not connected
to any other computer.

IPS,

You might consider doing one of two things:

1) install the Loopback Adapter, or
2) purchase either a hub or switch for about $30.00

Either of these will resolve your issue.
