Is it a retail version or an OEM version of XP?

If it is a retail version then all you have to do is to remove it from
the "wrong" computer (uninstall it if there was a previous version of
Windows and the old system files were saved otherwise reformat the
hard drive) and then install it on the "right" computer. If the
activation will not go through over the Internet then do it by
telephone and just say that you have removed it from the previous
computer and are now installing it on this one.

If it is an OEM version then the license is permanently locked to the
first computer that it is installed on and cannot be legitimately
transferred to another machine under any circumstances.

Good luck
