A problem occured yesterday with my PC. When logging on an error window
appeared saying: "A problem has prevented Windows form accurately checking
the status of the license for this computer. To proceed your copy of Windows
must be activated with Microsoft". "OK" I thought, "I`ll activate it again if
it's needed". But when trying to activate using my modem, the system does not
addres it. This PC was gateway for my small home network, so I cannot connect
to the Internet through another computer because in safe mode I'm not allowed
to change the IP adresses.
Searching the newsgroups I've found some info and even an article about
changing the registry to solve this, but I didn't find any "reset5" thing in
my reg. Replacing wpa.dbl with the original one from the installation CD also
didn't help.
I don't want to end up reinstalling the system only because of the
activation issue. Has anybody any idea how to fix this problem?
