Activation Key complication

Okay, on my old computer I was running xp home and then I upgraded to xp pro. Now, I have a new computer and I was wondering if I could install xp home and use my old xp home activation key while my other computer continues to use xp pro. thanks.

Hi,

If you used and Upgrade version on the old machine, then no as the upgrade
license is qualified by the XP Home license.

If the old system came with XP Home preinstalled, it is highly likely that
you would not be able to use that license on any other machine anyways, as
it was tied to that system (part of the OEM license arrangement).
