Activating XP Pro

I haven't been able to use my xp pro for sometime now because I have made so
many changes to my computer system, ie total upgrades and small changes like
bigger hard drives and faster cpu's etc etc.

Anyway I could no longer activate my xp pro.
So finally I thought I'll use the phone option and talk to someone about it.
Silly me off course their wasn't a person!

So I punched in my product key and then I receive the key to type in. Works.
easy solution after all.

So does anyone know what the difference between activating online and the
phone system. As online no longer would activate it.

Kind Regards

Stewart.

There's essentially no difference, and as you say, phone activation is
almost as quick and easy.. If you make two many hardware changes within a
120-day period, you have to use the phone option. Otherwise the online
option works.

Product Activation (WPA)
on Windows XP" at http://www.aumha.org/win5/a/wpa.htm
