I have an Asus A7N8X with Athlon XP 3200+ on Slackware Linux 10.0 with
kernel-2.6.7.When ACPI is enable (kernel) the clock time rum faster then
normal and in 5 hours i have more ten minutes then normal. But disable ACPI
evrything is OK.
On board A7N8X deluxe is necessary disable APIC and turn of ACPI?

Any help is apreciated

There is unfortunaltely no definitive solution. Something works for some,
other for others.

On kernel 2.6 it always used to be sound advice to do that on ALL nForce2
chipsets.

Without it, I used to get hard disk data corruption on my SATA drive. Which
was not easy to pinpoint and FUBARd several installs until I discovered that
nugget. I'll need some sound advice and reasoning to turn it back on again.
