A7N8X de luxe (pcb 1.04) and Athlon XP 3200+

I have Asus A7n8x deluxe/gold pcb 1.04 and i have upgrade bios to
1007.
I buy a Athlon XP 3200+ and it works for me with the board but the Athlon
run very hot 69ºc to 75ºc,with cooler Silent Boot of Thermaltake.
Ther's any problems with this processor ?

Any help is apreciated

My XP2800 runs hotter than on my other board as well.
CPU cooler is also a SilentBoost.
Tried others but not much difference.
As long as the thermal paste was applied correctly and the CPU is seated as
it should be and there is enough air getting to the cpu then there is not
much you can do.

Try replacing the fan with a thermaltake smart fan or a vantac toradno. I
have a vantac tornado on a thernaltake silent boost with a rheostat and it
dropped the temperatures 10°C to 15°C. I have also used a thermaltake
smartfan which dropped temps 8°C. The silent boost is basically a
thermaltake volcano 12 with a low cfm fan and the silent boost heat sink has
a few less fins than the volcano 12. I haven't tried the thermaltake UFO
fan but it might be a little less noisy with the same results as a vantac
tornado and comes with a fan controller (rheostat).
