acessing emails from another PC in another county

as I am a newbee pls bear with me.
I have an email a/c with ntlworld.com ( via virginmedia.com) and from
memory following instructions on this forum , i managed to transfer the
emails to windows mail.
Problem is , I am going abroad and want to access my emails from internet
cafe ( i.e not taking my laptop with me )
pls can anybody help in simple terms how I can configure my windows mail so
that all my existing emails can be viewed whilst I am abroad from a different
PC. I haev tried going back to ntlworld a/c but cannot view my current inbox .
pls help

You simply log on to Virgin Media web access for mail.
You wont have access to mail allready downloaded to your laptop.
If you switch your virgin mail from pop to Imap you will have access to all
mail.

thanks DL , I tried going on Virgin Media and could not see where to change
pop to Imap . Sorry to be so thick!
Pls could you or anybody else explain?
