Acer TravelMate with WindowsXP

Hi!

I have a question about two files I found on my Acer TravelMate 533LCi. I
searched the web and the acer homepage for information, but I wasn't
successful. So I came here. May someone knows the answere.

I have 2 files in a hidden folder called 'IMAGES'. Those files are pretty
large (file one: 490.112 KB; file two: 629.760 KB). I want to delete them,
but I don't know if they are somewhat important for my system. I think they
have been on my laptop before I bought him. I have a harddrive with 2
partitions. This folder has been on my second partition as default and I
moved him to my first partition. Nothing happened. The file names are:
'70GT5300.002' and '70GT5300.ACR'.

My question: What exactly are those files? What are they used for? Are they
important for my system or can I delete them?

I would be thankful for any answeres.

I am nearly certain that those are image files to reinstall your operating
system back to factory specs, in case you have a system failure, and you
probably, more than not, cannot delete them.

Did your PC come with a reinstallation disk? If not, then those folders are
what is neede to reload Windows.
