Acer scanner problems....

I'm trying to install my Acer 320p flatbed scanner to my
new computer, with WinXP... unfortunately I've lost the
disc. Now, I have downloaded a driver for it from the
internet, but I still cannot get the scanner to work. any
suggestions?
