i tried making an account using incoming.verizon.net for incoming mail, then
outgoing.verizon.net for outgoing mail, then it said it needed
authorization. Do i have to pay for this? can i use any POP3 name??? if not
, how would i go about trying to do this?

If you already pay Verizon for Internet access, email is included.
If Verizon is indeed your ISP, follow their email setup instructions:
http://www22.verizon.com/residentialhelp/

If you get an error message after setting up your email account in
accordance with those instructions, right-click on your error message,
copy, then paste it into a reply here.
We can't do much troubleshooting without the complete error message.

how do i find out my ISP???

Your original post mentioned the verizon.net mail servers, so
I assumed you knew that Verizon was your Internet Service Provider (ISP).
Your ISP is the company you pay each month for Internet access.
How do you get on the Internet?

i use wireless laptop. router is downstairs.
