Account locks randomly

We have a user here whose account locks randomly; there is no time patteren
between when it happens. I first tried to reset her account password and
told her to stay on the network for the rest of the day; that didn't work.
I've deleted her account and recreated it, but that still did not work. I
have a test user that I play with and messed around with it for a whilr
resetting it's password, but nothing happened there. It looks like it is
just her account that keeps locking up. What should I look at next?

Hi,

Account lockouts can be caused by a lot of things a few being:
-Apps using cached credentials that have become stale
-Service accounts running under the account become stale
-Scheduled tasks, or persistent drive mappings
-Outlook

You will find the tools needed to find the root of the lockouts at the
link below

Is this user logged into more than one machine? Usually what happens is a
user has mapped drives to a resource from one machine, on a different
machine he changes his password and then the first machine attempts to stay
mapped to a drive and the password is no longer correct and eventually locks
the user out.

To help try and track down where the account is getting locked out use
eventcomboMT.exe from the Account Lockout tools found out Microsoft's
website. Use the built in search AccountLockouts and search in the created
text files for the user in question.
