Accidentally uninstalled Java- HELP

G

Guest

I accidentally uninstalled JAVA from the uninstall/ install area on the
control panel..

When I went to Java.com to download it, I got the error message:

Installer cannot proceed with the current internet connection and told me to
visit the http://java.com/en/dowload/help

I have NO IDEA what to do once I get to that page..IS there ANYWAY to
Install what I uninstalled..and why isn't this download working.

I went to install Java SE Run Time Environment 6 update 2 after I
uninstalled Java from the uninstall/ install area on the control panel.

I have no idea what is going on and I am not an advanced techie..PLEASE
help....

If you have only recently uninstalled Java see if you have a system restore
point available for a date prior to the removal. System restore should then
correct the issue.

After you uninstalled Java did you reboot your PC? If the application has
been uninstalled correctly, which it should have been if you used uninstall
from the Programs and Features option in Control Panel, then Java should
re-install without issue. Maybe, at the time you tried to download the Java
server may have had problems. Try System restore first and see if that
corrects the problem.

Visit http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp and click on
"Windows XP/Vista/2000/2003 Offline" to download the manual
standalone version of Java.
