AccessLinks

Dan Salden

I have Office 97-Professional Edition. I wanted to
experiment with the Add-in that would allow me to convert
an Excel worksheet to Access, but the Add-in does not
appear in the data menu. I followed the help
instructions, but the link does not appear when I
attempted to add it via the Tools menu. I tried to browse
for AccessLink, but I could not find it. I also searched
the CD-ROM with no success. I searched Microsoft
downloads and found a version for Excel 2000 but nothing
for Excel 97.I thought it was supposed to be a part of
Office 97 (though not normally installed on the injitial
setup). Can anyone help me in regard to where I might
locate this Add-in and how I might install it? Thanks in
advance.

What you are looking for is ACCLINK.XLA

Should be in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\Library folder.

Loaded through Tools>Add-ins. Look for "Microsoft Access Links Add-in" and
checkmark it.

If you cannot find it, can be downloaded from this site.

Note: do not let the XL 2002 reference throw you. This is the same Add-in
that was included with 97 and 2000.

I have the original from my XL97 and......same file down to the last byte.
