AccessLinks add-in

I am building what is essentially a charting engine to run various queries
against an Access database (all 2002 under XP). I downloaded AccessLinks
from MS because the description said that it would help but I can't find any
information about how to invoke it or how to use it. I have selected it in
the Add-on list.

1-How do I invoke and use AccessLinks?

2-How do I get to see the list of saved queries so I can choose which one to
run?

Thanks for your help.

Hi Dan,

Once you check Access Links in the Add-ins list, you will find three new
menu items in the Data menu.
MS Access Form... - select a data list in Excel and click this to build
a Form in Access that allows data entry to the Excel
list.
MS Access Report - similar to the above, but builds an Access report
Convert to MS Access - copies an Excel list to a table in an Access
database

As you can see, all these options provide simple ways to move data from
Excel to Access. If you want to do the reverse, that is get data from
Access so that you can chart in Excel, then you should use either a pivot
table or a database query.

Because you wish to change query parameters in Excel to retrieve different
data sets from Access, I would recommend the use of a pivot table.

Short description - create a new pivot table, use external data source,
use page fields to select different parameters.

Long Description - go to my web tutorial to see a step-by-step description
of how to do this. http://edferrero.m6.net/tutorials.html

Thanks. It didn't really appear that way but you gave me enough clues that I
figured it out.
