Accessing Yahoo email in Outlook

Why won't Outlook 2007 recognise my Yahoo email username and password? I
wanted to set up 2007 to view the Yahoo account and I could also import my
old emails from my old email address at work from which I have retired.

Note that only PAID Yahoo mail acccounts can be accessed with Outlook,
Windows Mail, Outlook Express, Eudora, and the like; the free accounts
require a web browser.
