Hi,

I have two concerns which needs your suggestions.

1.I am using Windows XP Professional edition OS with
Service Pack1. Since few days (around 10days onwards)
when i click on "Windows Explorer", it is opening very
very slow. When i click on "My Computer" it is opening
after 10 or 15mins time. For your information i am using
this PC at my home and i am not connected to any network.
Also when i try to save any file with "Save As", then it
is not responding to view my directory to save this file
at any folder and also it hangs my application of website.

2.At my Internet Explorer (using Ver6.0 and SP1), if i
key in example www.microsoft.com then it is not
responding but when i key in like
http://www.microsoft.com then it is responding and i am
able to access that internet site.

My suspect for above point no.2 is also due to point
no.1.For your information recently i installed Symantec
Norton AntiVirus and update with Live Version, after that
fully i scanned my computer. No virus found.I always
check "Windows Update" for latest updates at your website.

Please recommend me what to do and let me know if i need
to download any patches from your website.

Prior thanks and waiting for your valuable reply.

Ravi

Hi Ravi,

1) Start/run msconfig, go to the services tab and disable Windows Image
Acquistion. Click apply/ok and reboot.

2) Disable Norton's from loading, see if that helps (I don't think problem
#1 is at all related).

but no change.

For your second method, I already UNINSTALLED Norton Anti
Virus.But no change.Still i have that problem.

Will you suspect any virus??? Please assist me.

Ravi

Hi Ravi,

Well, something is causing the delay, and you did reboot, yes? If so, then
