I have a user who, when he is accessing files stored on
the network, has his directories arbitarily remapped to
different drive letters. This occurs after he has
accessed several different files. Anyone have any idea as
to why this occurs?

I don't know why it is happening, but it is always recommended to save a
file from the network disk to the hard disk and then open it in PowerPoint,
work on it, save back to the hard disk and then move it to the network
drive.

Are you on a network?

The template files this user accesses are on the network
because multiple people need access to them. The company
I work for stores most everything on the network for this
reason.
