Accessing my Contacts Adress Book again

G

Griff

Hi,
Just re-installed Windows XP and before doing so saved my Outlook Data File.
Have copied this across now and have all of my emails etc but not my email
contacts.
Click on To... in Outlook and get a message saying that the adress book
could not be displayed.
Anyone know how I might acess this again?

Thanks,

Griff.

You neglected to post your Outlook version. That matters, not your OS.
Shall we assume you actually do have your Contacts?
Look in your Contacts Folder. Are they there?

Sorry, Outlook 2003.
My Contacts do appear in the left hand navigation pane but it does not
appear to be the default folder when I select To....

Rightclick on your contact folder | Properties....| Outlook-Adressbook

Enable the option "Show this folder as E-Mail-Adressbook" (or similar)

If this is still done, go to

Tools | E-mail-Accounts | Show existing Adressbooks....

There remove the Outlook-Adressbook and readd it.
