Hello, I was advised by another group to try here!
my son is unable to access his gmail thru outlook express, when he
tries to send/receive he gets a logon box asking for email and
password, wont accept what i know is the right password!
error message-

There was a problem logging onto your mail server. your password was
rejected. Account- his name etc, Server; pop.gmail.com, Protocol; POP
3, Server Response:"-ERR (AUTH) Username and password not accepted.",
Port; 995, Secure(SSL); Yes, Server Error; 0x800CCC90, Error Number;
0x800CCC92

Activated pop on his Gmail settings page

Set up the pop access using the manual and auto configure tool on gmail
help page!
In OE
Tools- accounts -properties-Servers-
remember password ticked, my server requires authentication ticked,
Advanced- Server Port numbers-Outgoing Mail 465

Have already asked this question on the gmail help page but they say
that as they get so many emails they can not reply to all

Have tried logging into the Google account setting page and
changed his password.

Have my own a/c set up as above and no problems on my computer?

That says it all.........log on via your web browser, change the password
and make VERY VERY sure that you are typing in the correct information in
OE. THIS IS NOT A WINDOWS PROBLEM.

You also need to set the Incoming server to port 995
