Accessing Downloaded Screensavers

I downloaded several screensavers from a website. The
screensavers ended up on my desktop. When I am in Control
Panel, choose Display, then choose Screensaver, the new
screensavers aren't in the list. There does not appear to
be a "browse" option as there is in the Background
section. How do I access the screensavers I have
downloaded? Do I have to save them to a particular
place? Is there some way to get them added to the list of
available screensavers? Anybody have any experience with
this problem? Jim Arnold

Hey Jim,
For the screensavers to show up in the Display Properties, you need to
install them to the C:\windows\system32 folder. You can simply copy them to
the folder unless they need to be installed.

Jim, screensavers usually end in extension *.scr. I did a search for scr
files and found mine in c:\windows\system32. You might
try locating yours on your system and then copy the desktop ones into the
located folder. Not sure if this will work but might be worth a try.
