Accessing Database problems

While our server has some 70-80 different Access databases of all sizes which
are working fine, we have one group who use a database that is acting
"strangely". It seems that one person can open it with no problems. A second
person can also get into the database. When a third tries to access it, they
get an error "Microsoft Access can't find the database file (the path to the
file)" I thought perhaps it was the use of a ahortcut on the desktop for
access that might be problem, so I went to the file itself on the server and
directly opened it. Same error. I made a subdirectory within the directory,
copied the file and had people access it. One, yes. Two, yes. Three - error
message.

I've checked the access rights and all are proper for the people involved.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Don't know if this will help, but the last time my database could not be
found, it turned out to be a Windows problem.(Windows worked fine, the file
needed reconfiguration of the Windows properties.) Check the properties of
the file through Windows Explorer.

Hi there

I was wondering if you managed to resolve your problem as I now have the
same one.

Kind regards

Scott
