Accessing Data on a password protected mdb from another mdb

I'm currently working with two databases, one with all the data and the
other with all the coding and forms ect... I want to password protect
the database with all the data to prevent unauthorized access. I'm
using a connection manager function to link the two databases and if I
password protect the data, the connection manager can't connect. Does
anyone know if I could put the pw in a table and have it read in to
allow access? Sorry if this is confusing... I'm just an intern looking
for answers. If you need more elaboration, let me know.

Instead of setting a password, you should use a MDW file. See:

For the connection manager, try using "PWD=YourPassword" for ODBC or
"Database Password=YourPassword" for OLEDB. However, I'm not sure for ODBC.
