Accessing CD-RWs

I format CD-RWs so I can use them like floppy disks.
When I bought a new computer last May, I found that I
could drag any information from my "old" CD-RWs onto my
desktop and use it, but I could not save anything onto the
disks nor delete anything from them. So I bought new CD-
RWs and formatted them with my new computer.

The other day I needed info from an old CD-RW. When I put
the disk in, a window appeared as if the computer
was "reading" the disk. I then found out that I could
delete and add to the disks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I tried it
with 7 or 8 of them

I was elated . . . but the next day they "froze" again.

How can I get my computer to use the old disks again???

Use something like Nero, or CDCreator/DirectCD
for CD's.

And disable XP's builtin burning
