accessing bios / how to boot from cd

Turn off your computer.
Turn your computer back on.
As soon as you see the lights flash on your keyboard press the "Delete" key.

This will bring up the BIOS settings.
Look for Boot Options.
Set your computer to boot in this order
1st CD
2nd Floppy
3rd Disk

You seem so sure this is the correct procedure; do you know EXACTLY
what BIOS Lara is using? The instructions you give won't work for
either my notebook OR desktop systems.

How to access BIOS is dependent on who made the BIOS. You can find
the proper key for access, and when to strike it, by either reading
you motherboard manual, or maybe by going to the manufacturer's
website and looking for instructions.
