Accessing a share without login/password

I'm using the Win 2000 server as our company intranet web server. Is there
any way I can make this available without the user first having to log into
the Win 2000 server first ?

Basically, how can I make the share accessible without username and password
?

You could try enabling the Guest account with blank password.

I wouldn't enable the guest account ever. That's a huge security risk. Are
you meaning NTFS / Share permissions or a website share through IIS?

I just want users to be able to access the intranet site without having to
log in first...

Set the site authentication as anonymous as described in the KB link below. If users
try to access shares with ntfs permissions that the account used for anonymous access
does not have, they will be prompted for credentials. --- Steve

Possibly an issue with IE. Add the intranet domain to the Intranet
Zone in IE's security and see if that works.
