Access to global catalog

Hi

I don't know if this is the right group?

Svr1 DC
SRV2 DC (Child of SRV1)

Slow connection between the 2 servers
The global catalog is on the SRV1

The SRV2 cannot identify me. It is unable to contact the
SRV1's global catalog.

What can I do to make SRV2 have a copy of the Global
Catalog? Or is there any other way to resolve this ?

To configure your second server to be a Global Catalogue, do the following:

Open Active Directory Sites and Services

Drill down through the Site the target server is in, open the Servers
container, open the desired Server object and find the NTDS Settings
container under that.

Right-click and select the Global Catalog check box.

Click OK.
