access problems

so for what ever reason (I have XP) I cannot go into
tools and Internet options to make changes. it says the
sys admin (me at home) has disallowed this function to be
accessed. not sure how this happened. can anyone offer
advice on how to regain access to internet options.

did you install some security software such as spybot?

Hi,
First, if you have Spybot S&D installed, open it in Advanced mode and check
the
Immunize settings. You may have inadvertently set this restriction.

Or... go to http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm
Look for Various Registry Fixes. Then (same page) find and remove the
malware which probably set the restriction.
