Access is denied

When trying to logon to various websites, I receive a web page indicating Access Has Been Denied, due to inappropriate material. These websites are pretty basic - various areas of yahoo or msn, the history channel and my credit union. Are there filter options or security options I do not have set correctly?
 
Maybe the firewall is blocking certain sites. LAN/local
(access) configuration?
