"Access is denied" when starting programs in CMD

Hello!

I've got an new laptop and currently I'm installing all of my software. Now
I recognized, that when I start a cmd and, e.g. type ping and ENTER the
message "Access is denied" appears. Also with ipconfig or "outlook.exe /?"

I'm administrator on the laptop, I'm not using the
"administrator"-built-in-account!

I know that ipconfig has worked this week, cause I should know my MAC to
make a DHCP-reservation. But now it doesn't work any longer.

Please help!

Why type of message is appearing? Is it a message saying the command prompt
was disable by the administrator? Have you changed any settings in the group
policy or registry? If you're a member of the administrators group, you
should have full access to run and execute programs from the command prompt.
Is the laptop brand new or new to you?

It's possible a setting in the registry was changed involving the command
prompt. I would need to know more. Did you double check to ensure you are a
memeber of an administrator, not a limited or restriced account by accident?

Hi!

The message "Access is denies" as a response of typing "ping" or any other
command in a cmd-window.

But I found the solution: I use PC-Cillin and the cmd.exe was blocked. But I
didn't know that. I found the setting and changed it, now everything works :)

Thank you!!
