Access denied

Hi this is Jorge, I have a problem, my laptop has win xp home edition
sp2 I bought a software (Rosetta Stone) which has 2 CD the installation
CD and the application...so I logged in as administrator and installed
the software..after I removed this CD and inserted the application CD
(to start using the software) and I got a message ..ACCESS DENIED
PLEASE LOGIN IN WITH ADMINISTRATOR PRIVILEGES AND TRY AGAIN...but I'm
the administrator...I did several accounts with administrator
privileges..and nothing happened....I went to regedt32 (local
machine...software....and it dosen't appear a folder with the
nameRoseta Stone...so that I can give permissions to the
software)....thanks a lot for your help

Verify that you are indeed logged on as an administrator. When you use the
command net localgroup administrators [as shown in my example below] you
need to see your user account listed. If it is possibly your user account is
also a member of a group that has deny permissions to needed folders. I have
not seen it myself but I understand some computer "protection" programs will
monitor the computer to even prevent the administrator from doing normal
functions. If you think you might have any such program try disabling them
or checking their configuration to make sure they are not blocking access.
It may also be worthwhile to try booting into Safe Mode to see if that makes
a difference or not. --- Steve
