I have heard rumors that Access is "going away" or being revised or something
like that. I also have a friend who's company has found that UPS is no
longer using Access for it's DB tracking etc. Does anybody know what's going
on with this program? Thanx for any feedback.

This 'un tends to pop up every 2 years or so (ever since Access 1.1!)

Quite a bit more often than that.

1. Considering that Access/Jet is the most used database engine on the
planet, with probably more users than all other database engines combined,
what do you think?

2. I'm sure UPS uses Access since every other major corporation does. I am
however dubious that Access was ever used for tracking UPS packages. Access
can't handle more than 2 GBs of data in one database structure.
