access emails from hotmail through outlook

I am trying to access my emails - I've followed all the instructions & still
it doesn't work. I tried to make sure I had MSN Hotmail Plus & I went to
order it and it says I purchased it 9/28/04. So, what is the deal...can I do
this or not. It seems that there is an issue & I can't tell what the answer
is in any of the discussions.

Can someone please help
 
When setting up the account, are you selecting http as the mail account
type?

the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.
