I have a list of links in a web page to Access databases so that users can
use this as a link and not have shortcuts scattered on their desktops.

Unfortunately, although the dialog box comes up to ask whether to open or
save to disk, when open is selected the database does not open. Task Manager
reveals that Access started but for some reason didn't "complete".

Any ideas? Maybe there is a better way to present my users with a list of
databases.....

After you've clicked the link and Access is there but no DB open what
happens when you click the link again? (With Access still open from the 1st
attempt)

Having tried unsuccessfully (first time), the seond attempt (clicking on the
link) brings up the dialog box to open or save, but does not open Access (in
the foreground).

Examination of the Task Manager now shows two instances of Access running.

p.s. This behavious differs on different computers (users). It will open the
Access databases properly on some but not on others.

The environment is a local government office with standrad PC builds running
Windows 2000.

I in the same situation, did you ever get a solution to this problem? If so,
what did you do?

Thank You
Sherry

No solution yet! I will post something if (when!!) I find the answer....

Thank you for your response, I too will post if I find a solution.
Respectfully
Sherry
