Access Denied?!

Hi,

I am using Windows XP SP2 (stupid edition), and suddenly, it thinks I am a
total stranger.

If I click on one folder it will say "Access is denied". This happens with
every entire folder on this damned system. I have done NOTHING to it except
installed a program - which I checked with AVG Free, mind you.

File Permissions are correct because they have never changed. I followed
"Microsucks" instructions to set permissions and it don't do nothing.

The point that "a computer is only as worthy as it's user", is true, but I
have no control over my computer.

Look, basically, it could be my fault. I think it is, but I don't know what
to do.

Does anyone have help ??

If you reply, remember: Can't set permissions, no control over computer.

If you need more information, just ask.

John.

Sadly, none of those worked.
Not even unlocker. Windows XP Stupid Edition doesn't listen to Unlocker.
Instead XP says "Continue to bulls**t user". Oooh, just think what would have
happened if I used Vista - Uh-oh indeed! Luckily, I don't. :))

Maybe if I can reset the folder file type, that might fix some problems...

How about logging in as "Administrator" (the built-in admin account) and then creating a new user account with admin privileges?

What was the "program" you downloaded?

Mind you, SETUP.EXE will pass an anti-virus test...

It was a certain program to recover files from the recycle bin. It was not
SUPERFileRecover - I don't think I can trust that company again. I had no
idea what I was doing.

I'll try that, but, to be honest, I am using the admin account. I know - it's
not secure.

Wait a minute, I remember now! I just need to know this: Will system restore
delete files created after the restore point?

Thank you in advance.
