Hello.

This problem occurs either on WindowsXP or Windows2003 server
It occurs either on computers connected to a domain or not, domain controler
or stand alone,...

When I mount a hard disk into an NTFS folder what I will cal a "Folder
Volume"), I get the following problem:
- if I create a folder, I cannot delete it. I get an "access denied"
message. But I can cut it, paste it outside my "folder volume" and then
delete it
- If I change the way to mount my hard disk and mount it as a separated
volume with a letter like e:, then there is no problem. I can do whatever I
want.
- if I mount it back as a "folder volume", then the problem appears again.
This problem appears on any folder inside the "folder volume", any old, any
new one.
This problem occurs only on folders, not on files.

Of course, I tried everything possible concerning security rights : change
all permissions with full control on the folder, on all items of the "folder
volume"; change of ownership, change of user (admin, normal user,...) Itried
everithing I could imagine, but the issue remains.

Can sombody tell me where is the issue. Did I miss something ?

Thank in advance for any help.

Of course, a *volume*, I a speeking of a mounted *partition* of a hard disk,
