Access denied from Windows 2000 to Windows XP

Pavel Knotek

Hello,
I have following problem:
Two PCs and switch, private TCP/IP network 192.168.168.xxx, same subnet,
same workgroup. Windows 2000 (workstation) versus Windows XP Pro (notebook).
Same user accounts and passwords on both PCs. I can ping between both PCs.
I can access files and printers on W2K from WXP but cannot vice versa (I
cannot access WXP from W2K). I have defined shared folders on both PCs. On
WXP is dissabled simple network sharing.
Any idea?

Thanks

Pavel

P.S.: I try cross cable instead the switch, but result is same....

Think firewall! It stops the sharing of files on the XP machine.
It is enabled and disabled within XP.
