Yesterday I was cleaning up our database and erasing some entries. Today when
I tried to open the database, I get an error that says "Invalid Argument." I
checked the help in Access, and also a access book and I can't get my
information to open!! Please help me!! This is 8 years of data and I need
HELP!!!!

Thank you for the advice. I looked at that article, but it didn't help.
While reading through some of the other questions, I tried a couple of
things. When I attempted to compact & repair, a new table was added to my
database with the title "MSysCompactError". In this new table were the two
entries below:
ErrorCode ErrorDescription ErrorRecid ErrorTable
-1003 Could not find field 'Description'. TABLE1
-1053 Could not find field 'Description'. TABLE1
Does this make my error any different or how can I fix my database? I am
able to enter data into my table, but I can't bring up any queries or
reports, or link any of my tables together. Please help me one last time.
Thanks!!

I would recommend creating a new blank MDB file and import all objects
(except the "MSysCompactError" Table) from the existing database. It
certainly looks like corruptions.

I had a very similar problem. In my database I had a memo field I was using.
I changed the memo field to a text field and changed that to 255 charectar
and all was fixed.
I read an artical somewhere and found that sometimes a memo field isn't the
best way to go. I hope this helps.
