CANNOT OPEN DATABASE - ERROR MESSAGE!

K

Kaylen

This is the error message when I try to open the database:

"The Microsoft jet database engine has stopped the process because you and
another user is attempting to change the same record at the same time."

But there is no one in the database! I've been trying to open it all day
yesterday and this morning too. I tried to import the tables into a new
database but I got the same error message when I try to import. Help please!
I have so much data in that database and I can't afford to lose it all. Can
anyone help me? At least open the table so I can get the data out? Thanks!

:) Sometimes the hardest lessons encountered make the most lasting
impression.

Kaylen - If you want a professional to try to recover your database, do any
testing that you might want to do on a COPY, leaving the original as is. Here
are two recovery services that I know of, both highly recommended:

Oh, Tom, that's *cruel*...

Absolutely accurate.
Memorable.
Probably a good lesson.

But it's stil cruel! (and of course stolen for future use).

I shouldn't laugh... really. We used to ask people that when they
would call and say their database had corrupted.

Does Peter Miller use that in his tag line?
